Govt3 Fleet Review Project

In mid to late 2007, the Ministry of Transport will publish guidelines for public sector organisations' vehicle fleet management and procurement, aimed at increasing the focus on sustainability, reducing emissions and improving fuel economy. Recommendations from the Govt3 Fleet Review Project will be available on the Ministry of Transport's website at www.transport.govt.nz and from the Ministry for the Environment at www.mfe.govt.nz.

AA Driver Training

The New Zealand Automobile Association provides driver training and also has a range of resources available for companies and employers, including a defensive driving course designed specifically for businesses and experienced drivers. For more information, see www.aa.co.nz.

GreenFleet - the Sustainable Business Network

GreenFleet is a programme run by the Sustainable Business Network that enables New Zealand businesses to reduce the impacts of their vehicle fleet on the environment and people. As well as networking and advice, it offers a tree-planting programme that allows companies to offset carbon emissions. For more information, see www.greenfleet.org.nz.
