Rail Safety Awareness Week 2007

Land Transport New Zealand is aiming to increase community awareness of rail safety by taking part in Australasian Rail Safety Awareness Week.

The campaign, which focuses on vehicle and pedestrian safety around railways, is a collaboration between Land Transport NZ and the NZ Police, Ontrack, Toll Rail, Greater Wellington Regional Council , Veolia and the Chris Cairns foundation.

As part of the effort to raise awareness the participating organisations are supporting television,  print and radio advertisements to promote rail safety throughout New Zealand.
